Inpatient Programs & Services
1. Amputee Program/Prosthetics & Orthotics Service
If you or a loved one has experienced the loss of a limb, you are not alone. Although your experience is unique, many other people have successfully overcome the loss of a limb & made strides to adapt to daily life.

Dar El-Mona's Amputee Program/Prosthetics & Orthotics Service is one component of a continuum of care. The program supports the progress of the patient as close as possible to lead an independent productive lifestyle for a person with an amputation.
Amputee Clinic, Prosthetic Fitting, and Physical & Occupational Training are the three main components of Dar El-Mona's Amputee Program. Because at Dar El-Mona we embody a holistic approach to caring for our patients, we offer numerous specialized services to assist people with amputation. Furthermore, we have a franchise of Egypt’s most reputable onsite Prosthetics Workshops.
2. Brain Injury Program
The qualities that define an individual - memory, personality, behavior, physical abilities, & mental skills - are also the qualities that help to define the goals of rehabilitation for people with brain injuries. With so much at stake, it is important for the patient to find a care provider with a depth of experience & comprehensive services to ensure leading the best life possible.

Dar El-Mona Care & Rehabilitation Medical Resort develops comprehensive Brain Injury Rehabilitation Programs for inpatients & outpatients to promote improved memory, cognitive skills, as well as the patient's ability to transfer both physical & intellectual skills from the hospital setting to real life. Dar El-Mona patients participate in community re-entry groups to strengthen daily living & social interaction skills, while upholding a healthy lifestyle through group leisure activities.
A Brain Injury may be caused by either a traumatic or a non-traumatic event, resulting in a change in neuronal activity in the brain that ultimately affects the way brain cells function. Thus, Restoring Physical, Intellectual Communicative, as well as Psychosocial & Vocational Skills is the focus of Dar El-Mona's Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program.
The therapy format is prearranged to provide appropriate stimulation & to increase attention span. Physical & occupational therapists, & speech language pathologists work both individually & collectively to help each patient cope with the unique effects of a brain injury.
- Spinal Cord Injury Program
The Spinal Cord Injury Program focuses on patients suffering from spinal cord dysfunction due to trauma or disease, & rendered fully or partially paralyzed in the arms &/or legs.
